some
default(?) location. At minimum if the user doesn't use Find to set the
location it probably should not report any weather data at all because
its current default behavior is confusing. (All this IMHO).

http://www.fastmail.fm - I mean
You don't understand. The time zone I am allowed to choose is Rainy
River. That's fine for the time. But the longitude and latitude for my
location I chose by hand. Yet I am not allowed to choose from where I
get the weather information. The weather applet just appeared after I
updated the system
I updated my PC with sudo apt-get update then upgraded. Then an addition
the to the time in the upper right of the default GNOME desktop showed
up which specified the weather . . . sky conditions (sunny/cloudy/etc.)
and the temperature. This weather data was incorrect. I clocked on the
time applet
I don't see a location in my time zone in the drop down list that that
shows my local time other than Rainy River . . . I am in Louisiana, but
don't see an entry for that. Any way I can disable the weather if I
can't get the right time?
Thanks anyway.
