Possibly one bug, possibly two. At any rate there are two symptoms.
1. Evolution is constantly hogging the whole of one CPU. See attached
screenshot.
2. Evolution is stuck opening a folder. If I try to cancel the open it
just gets stuck in the close. It has been like this
Public bug reported:
On waking from, generally a long sleep, my laptop loops in gdm. I get a
continuous stream of:

First, I am not quite sure where the problem lies: in the power manager,
gnome-screensaver or xfce-screensaver.
I use keyboard layouts in more than one alphabet. If the screen-lock
happens when I am using a non-latin alphabet the unlock screen gives me
no way of switching

Yes, as I discovered later there is a problem in a bad interaction
between lightdm and xscreensaver.

Yet another follow-up:
I did a 'pkill -9 evolution' after which I could start evolution.
After a logout/login evolution would not start. After a pkill it did.
Removing the evolution background servers from the session startup cleared the
problem.
I could then also start evolution automatically

A contact has changed his email address. I added the new address and

When I try to move or copy an addressbook entry from a local to an LDAP

I quite understand why this happens; I suppose that the copy/move has to

A correction to my previous comment:
On the 32-bit machine I can save caldav entries but not see them. They
do however show up on the webcal view of the same calendar.
I can also see the new entries on my 64-bit machine.
The server is running radicale.

I have two machines both running 12.04 with Evolution 3.2.3. One has
this bug the other does not.
I start my sessions without evolution and then start it by hand later.
On the 'bad' machine I have found no way of starting gnome without e

'Script' file attached. Same error message, different line number. I am
now on Evolution 3.6.2

I also suspect that the problem is that evolution is starting before the
keyring is unlocked. When the keyring is unlocked e-addressbook-server
does not recover its connection. Killing and restarting therefore clears
the problem.

I have managed to make it work by killing e-addressbook-server and all
the other evolution processes, deleting the ldap password from my

corruupt, but the password has not changed in yonks, so something is
rotten somewhere.

I *think* I can make it work by ensuring that the headset is unplugged
