Hm, it is actually working now. Closing the lid, choosing suspend in the logout menu and in the gpm tray icon all work. (To answer the question, I have that lock file). I'm a bit confused as I did try several times yesterday, and rebooted to make sure all updates were used. I wonder if my mirror
