I've noticed when running with --verbose that one of the things that is
slow on startup is the fwupd module. I haven't yet investigated why that
is slow. Also the appstream data takes quite some time to parse.

This is how this patch looks like installing a classically confined
snap. Note that the warning is only visible if your screen is tall
enough, otherwise you would have to scroll down to see it.

I didn't manage to work out why this is happening, but gnome-software
3.25.4 replaced this code with the AsIcon code and it doesn't seem to be
occuring anymore. This change was backporter to 3.22 and 3.20 and should
hopefully fix this issue.

The crash seems to be due to the package list being reloaded outside of
GNOME Software. An inconsistency inside AppStream has a package with a
NULL value for format, and the crash occurs accessing that.
