I also encountered this bug with Maverick using Evolution 2.30.3 (English version). Also on an Acer Aspire One, mine has an 8.9 inch screen using 1024x600 resolution. Kaizer's workaround to disable the buttons did the trick for me, thanks. -- Evolution netbook resizing goes wrong
