Public bug reported:
Once you set a clip mask to any GdkGC in PyGtk, you can not unset the
clip mask.
This makes the GdkGC useless if you need to draw with it again without a
clip mask. The X11 and GdkColor outside of PyGtk accept 0 or None as an
input to GdkGC::set_clip_mask()

This is actually a problem with evolution only checking with Network
Manager to check network status, it should check if the network is
actually online or not and not just check with Network Manager.

checks network connection status with Network Manager.
Suggest doing additional network checks to not just assume network is

That's not the best approach (though it may work).
I suggest adding a master override in Evolution to always assume network

There are connections that NM does not manage, so Evolution needs to do
additional checks or have an option to always assume online.
This is NOT invalid, it's a bug.

Okay I've figured it out.
If you remove the PPA for Openshot from the Software Sources, and then
uninstall every package listed under ffmpeg in Synaptic Package
Manager and also uninstall Openshot, then reinstall the packages listed
under ffmpeg, then Totem will work again.
