I believe I also have this bug on my Inspiron E1505 running Hardy AMD64. This machine has intel graphics and wireless. This slowdown happens to me whether i'm copying to either of my USB drives or over the wired or wireless network. The wired network didn't seem to slow down until about 600MB if
