python wnck bindings have broken constants again

Public bug reported:
Bug 447479 got fixed in libwnck (the constants should have been
registered as flags, not as enums) but a workaround also got put in to
python's wnck bindings (register constants as enum instead of flags). So
this has created a sort of mirror image of the original bug with

Disable compiz isn't a sensible workaround for this bug. Compiz offers
more than eye candy. Many new users wouldn't know how to replace it with
xfwm4 and would be stuck with metacity, so they'd be replacing a window
manager with a problem that can be worked around (Expo etc) with one
which is

Feel free to close it. As there is a workaround (running gnome-
screensaver) it isn't really a problem, and even if I still want it
changed it would be better to ask upstream.

gnome-power-manager sets all DPMS timeouts to 0
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/231397
You received this bug
I've discovered that this behaviour is deliberate and gnome-power-
manager (gpm) relies on gnome-screensaver (gss) to implement the
blanking and DPMS instead of X. It behaves correctly when gnome-
screensaver is running.
It would have been nice to be able to use gpm without gss, because for

Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager
I've recently installed Hardy on both my laptop (x86, Intel graphics)
and my desktop PC (amd64, NVidia graphics) and gnome-power-manager is
broken on both of them. It ignores its settings and sets all the DPMS
timeouts to 0, disabling

It turned out to be a bug in my code after all, which I couldn't find at
first with valgrind (it generates so many false alarms I can never find
the real bugs among them), but it turned up with MALLOC_CHECK_ and some
experimentation.
Sorry for the bogus report. I can't seem to find a way to close
Do you mean where it says Status? There's no link there for me.
Perhaps only developers can close a bug, not reporters.
