Text on a progressbar is hard to read
https://beta.launchpad.net/bugs/60458
Public bug reported:
If a list (GtkTreeView) is made insensitive, the text on the selected
row is drawn in black. This doesn't look quite right since it stands
out. I'm attaching the relevant part of a screenshort of synaptic
shortly after it finished loading the results for a search term, but
Yes, it is the panel. No, I don't think it's not a bug. It makes no
sense to display a few *empty* pixel lines for the panel. It doesn't do
that for the task list (which is at the bottom, in my case). And it
also didn't do it for the panel in earlier versions. I'd happily file
this upstream
Yes, the problem is still present. (With all updates from edgy-updates
and edgy-backports installed.)

Public bug reported:
With epiphany_0.5.1-4_i386, the spinner animation seems to have a blank
frame at the end. Thus, after the bold leaves have completed one turn,
nothing is displayed for a short period of time. Then the animation
starts from scratch.
** Affects: epiphany-browser (Ubuntu)
It's Evolution 2.8.0-0ubuntu1.
As far as I know, I did not activate any option.
When the entry has focus, it's blank here too. If I choose an option
from the dropdown menu that can be reached via the icon in the left part
of the entry, the entry gets focused and thus there's no background
text.
Ah, OK. Yes, moving the top panel to the bottom makes the gap go away.
And contrary to what I expected, no new gap at the bottom of the
rectangles emerges. So it seems to be a bug in the handling of panels
at the top.

I'm not sure what you mean. Are you asking whether the gap I described
is actually part of the panel? If so, no, it doesn't seem so. It's
definitely inside the workspace switcher. I'm attaching a new
screenshot which shows the gap again, but now on a panel with a height
of 48 pixel. The
