The ld_preload trick works for me fine in case of Skype.

The ld_preload trick works for me fine in case of Skype. I only needed libv4l
package:
aptitude install libv4l-0
and
LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/libv4l/v4l1compat.so skype
