Ubuntu Jaunty. two seconds delay on incoming voice with ekiga
Hi,
Could you attach a backtrace of the crash using those instructions:
http://wiki.ekiga.org/index.php/Debugging_Ekiga#How_to_get_a_stack_backtrace_from_a_crash
(no need to recompile, just install the *-dbg packages, and please use this
command:
$ gdb --args ekiga -d 4 21 | tee gdb-ekiga.txt )
Ok, I see.
I guess the short key M to mute audio is fine, right?
What you want is a visual feedback on the main GUI, right?

Hi,
Thank you for reporting.
Does this still happen with Ubuntu 9.04?
If you still have this issue can you please attach a debug output as explained
here:

Ekiga stuck on standby
Hi,
This has been fixed in OPAL:

Hello,
We need a better output:
$ gdb --args ekiga -d 4 21 | tee gdb-ekiga.txt
(gdb) run
Now Ekiga should run normally. Perform the action you did to make it
crash, then go back to the terminal window and you should see something
like SIGSEGV at...
At this stage type:

Hi,
A synthesis of our discussion upstream:
TCP is mandatory and it is a main focus of the project. The switch from
UDP to TCP is also part of the SIP standard. Reason: in some case (too
many codecs enabled in Ekiga's preferences) Ekiga needs a bigger
datagrams than the one usually provided by
BrainwreckedTech,
Could you attach a full -d 5 output in the case of failing MTU 7500 to
MTU 1500? I'm still investigating some corner cases...

Yannick
