Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nautilus
When trying to move a group of files and directories from Windows 98 to Hardy Heron, Nautilus throws an error "File doesn't exist." I suspected this may be because it needed root level access, and researched doing the sudo thing for Nautilus, but that didn't do it. I finally zipped the W98 files and moved them as one (it doesn't have problems with 1 file at a time, or a group of files. It's the directories it gaks on.), and unzipped them on the Hardy end. I started by installing 7.01, and went through the upgrade process to 8.04 when it appeared in the upper right corner. A friend suggested reinstalling ntfs-3g pkg, but that didn't help. Thanks for your hard work guys! ** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Moving files and directories from W98 to Hardy https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/240181 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
