Poor support of builtin 2MP camera on xps m1330
It seems the problem lies in this file:
cat .local/share/applications/mimeapps.list
[Added Associations]
application/x-bittorrent=transmission.desktop;gnome-btdownload.desktop;
audio/mpeg=gedit-usercustom-3.desktop;
application/x-executable=wine.desktop;
just tried the same and it didn't worked.
however i've tried with the new GUEST account and the problem is NOT
there!!!.
so this must be some configuration change or something like that as the
guest configuration is totally new...

i having this issue i believe this is related somwhow with this bug
report
https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/libpam-
foreground/+bug/58165
this is the output from my system
sudo /etc/init.d/dbus start
Password:
* Starting system message bus dbus
i hope this helps to found this issue.
to be honest is truly hard to use a system with this trouble.
you cannot easily access cd nor usb pens,
i cannot believe it but mounting like the old days is really boring...
i would like to give this bug more priority.
please tell me how can i help to
i'm attaching an strace from
dbus-daemon --system
in a good system (without the problem)
and another one from a bad system
in this there's a segmentation fault message
** Attachment added: strace for dbus with segmentation fault

the user on all the systems exists on plugdev
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ id
uid=1(andres.mujica) gid=513(Domain Users)
grupos=4(adm),20(dialout),24(cdrom),25(floppy),29(audio),30(dip),44(video),46(plugdev),107(lpadmin),108(scanner),109(admin),119(fuse),513(Domain
well i've got 3 machines, only one of them doesn't have this problem.
The rest of them has the problem.
any suggestion in how we can compare the systems?
maybe that way we can found the problem..
