Perhaps, but I think the current folder setup was created to follow set
guidelines.
I am surprised that it is taking F-Spot so long to fix what should be a simple
problem.

I ran GST_DEBUG=3 GST_DEBUG_NO_COLOR=1 gst-launch-0.10 playbin
uri=file:///path/to/video log. Of course I replaced /path/to/video
with the right path.
I can see the log file when I click on it, are you sure you can't?

Sorry, I am using Gutsy beta, as far as I can tell any *.mov file is
choppy, and the output of that command was as follows, and the video was
still choppy.

video playback is choppy.

Currently, in Gutsy Gibbon, when a user logs in all he sees for around 5-10
seconds is a blank screen with no indication of whether or not GNOME is loading
or if his computer is just frozen.
