Please test this theme I'm working on and see if the usablility is
easier to resize on the right and left edges as well as the bottom. I
will port this metacity over to a more human feel, but for testing
purposes I have modded the Impression metacity. Let me know what you
all think of this. If
I know the GDM is buggy on Karmic, but I just had a random crash. Not
sure if this will help de-bug.

Karmic 64 2.6.31-1-generic here with a patched Nvidia driver (185.18.14)
and the DKMS issus still exists here. I will continue testing to see if

I believe I've narrowed the cause of the crash down to the File Transfer
Window activating (Alt +F), manually or automatic, initiates the crash
of the entire application on a consistent basis. Compiz has no effect
as it crashes with Metacity Window Manager as well.

I would hope. I've been using the patch for a few weeks now with no
issues. I just rebuilt gnome-screensaver and added the patch. I see no
regressions thus far. This is much better than losing your gamma,
color, contrast, brightness, etc., everytime gnome-screensaver

I've installed that patch on my Dell XPS m1530 laptop and my Desktop
running Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy Heron. It works flawlessly. Nvidia-settings
no longer reset after gnome-screensaver is activated.
