I get this with Natty, 11.04, with an Asus 1005HA when waking up from
being suspended.

Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: empathy
Please build empathy with support for geoclue which provides location
capabilities. Don't know if this is the correct package to file this
with.
I'm using an up-to-date version of lucid.

Using gconf-editor, the entry for
/desktop/gnome/thumbnailers/applicat...@pdf has no keys. This is also
true for any other thumbnailer for pdf, postscript, or dvi. These file-
types are also not creating thumnails for me. Is the lack of gconf keys
the problem?
I'm using an up to date Karmic
Sorry, I should have added that my problem does not have to do with
downloaded files. I just created some pdf, dvi, ps, and rtf fiules with
Lyx and no thumbnails were created.

I had the same problem as Craig; Evolution crashes with a fresh karmic
install. Curiously It also now runs fine for me since I started it with
the valgrind.

Some of it may be due to compiz. If I'm using compiz I initially see
some flashing blocks and a white screen during the first transition.
From there it seems okay.
If I turn off compiz the flashing blocks disappear but I still have the
white screen during the first transition.

Same problem here on a powerbook g4.
Actually you can login. But it seems that the font/text is 'invisible.'
Try blindly logging in. Type in your user name and return. Type in
password and return. You should see the cursor move down several lines
as you login.

Hi Pedro,
I've tried many gnome applications including some that are python/gnome
apps. I also tried starting an app with sudo. Its also the same all
the variations of the file chooser such as one's with image previews and
the one that give a very limited selection until you open the browser
BTW this has been happening for some time now and I've have gone through
several updates of gtk-2.0 since I noticed it. As far as I can recall
however it wasn't a problem when I initually installed Gutsy.
