Testing Live disc for Feisty Herd 2 (Ubuntu 7.04 PC standard) on Athlon
1800XP with rt2500 wirless network card. Dapper 6.04-1 running well and
Ubuntu running since Warty.
SystemAdministrationNetworking shows that NIC and wireless card are
Sebastian
I will try, but this is very difficult if I can't connect to the network
as this gives my internet connection.
I will try to fugure a way but hopefully someone else will confirm this
in the meantime.

previously in Disk manager the Floppy Icon was shown for a duplicate of
/dev/hda, my hard drive. Now this has switched for /dev/hdd, one of my
DVD drives.

On the clean, recent Beta install the floppy icon is giving details for
my hard drive /dev/hda. So the bug is different between clean install
and upgrade.

Fixed for me with latest update. Still slower than breezy when reading
the database, but the on screen warning is good

I think this is upstream, as I have tried the latest Simply MEPIS
version 6.0 pre-alpha and got the same result as Dapper

I should add that floppies wont mount in Dapper.
This all works fine in breezy on the same machine

The Icon is not 'floppy' as it is in breezy. instead there are two Hard disk
Icons and one of them shows the device as /dev/fd0. so it does recognise the
device - it just displays the description and icon as Hard disk instead of

At the very least this should be an administrator choice. Maybe the
administrator has the option to give individual user configuration.
This would certainly be wanted where I work and it would cause me no
issues at home.

It seems to be identical - but none of my volumes/partitions are labled.
I have not use labels so it must be some thing else. If #31441 has been
