The problem is that on Gnome Remix, ModemManager doesn't open the Network
Configuration application when an unconfigured modem is connected to the
system, whereas it does on Unity (and Gnome 3 on Fedora 17).

VirtualBox.
On that setup, the Network Menu has an 'Auto broadband' entry under

Netbook Remix, but only since an apt-get update last night. Prior to

Both of these work-arounds work for me ('Trackerd' 'kill nautilus').
The Trackerd fix by Luiz above is particularly interesting because when
Trackered is not running nautilus appears to be able to pull itself out
of whatever spiral it's in. A nautilus-debug-log.txt is still
generated by nautilus
I can confirm this on U7.10.
I also have some extra information.
Sebastien: For me Nautilus doesn't crash just uses 100% CPU (I think the
crash reports above are different bugs). No record of crash or any
details entered in any log for me.
This is how it occurs for me:
1/ startup PC.
2/ login
Sebastien: Sorry there is something logged to nautilus-debug-log.txt
This file fills rapidly when nautilus is 100% CPU hungry.

Live CD. Problem is just as described by jdo above.
It appears from the Nabble link above that unfortunately adventurous
libgphoto code got caught in feisty distribution.
Much looking forward to ubuntu upgrade for libgphoto2.

bug is reported in edgy feisty and they are mostly unconfirmed and
