I double checked. Here is a pasteboard of my extensions:

I removed all my extensions (except for ones installed by Ubuntu) and the
problem still happens.

Looks like that was it. I removed all my extensions and I don't get that
app display error anymore. I guess I will have to do without the net
speed extension :(

I have noticed that the app pages disappear sometimes and when they do,
the three dots on the right side are redrawn together once. Then after
the app pages disappear.
