To my understanding this has already been resolved on (unknown) update
on trunk. I am currently running SVN trunk, and I do not see the issue

Since this happened I moved out of VMWare into VBox, and I have not been
able to reproduce it anymore, so I took the liberty of closing INVALID.
For the record, here's how I used to get it: I always open VMWare Server
(1.0.5) -- and now VBox -- on a different workspace. So usually I am

After upgrading to hardy, gnome-terminal windows are not
For those of you that get hit quite frequently: Go to
System/Preferences/Sessions; select the Current Session tab, and edit
the evolution-alarm-notify entry so that it will have a higher order.
The default installs will have it with Order=50; Setting it to 60 is
enough. After changing the Order,

Thank you for the Valgrind log. Although it is useful -- it does show a
series of lost memory areas --, it will not help us on the E-D-S
issue... Valgrind only looked at Evolution, not E-D-S.
For you to get valgrind against E-D-S, you have to:
1. stop all of Evolution: on a terminal
bug 219047 also has a nice valgrind log against evolution. I will add it
to the upstream bug.

Unfortunately the backtrace is missing most of the symbols -- and, as
such, it is unusable.
Perhaps a better option would be to allow apport (the automagic bug
filler) to deal with it.

As far as I can remember, the Pidgin synchronisation plugin is extremely
simple, and the entries will have to match exactly (between Pidgin and
the Contacts). If they do not, then the plugin will re-add them. If you
have it running periodically... it may get worse. I think this was a bit

It seems you forgot to execute 'bt full', followed by 'thread apply all
bt full' on your GDB run. We can see the error (IO error 11 on X :0.0),
but we have no idea of what caused it.
Please run it again, and also attach here your ~/.xsession-errors and

I have been exchanging emails with Effenberg re. this one. Since I do
not have Outlook or Outlook Express, I do not know how it is actually
received. But I did a quick test, attaching a text file called 'ç.txt'.
The MIME headers generated by Evo look as follows:

Editor: when changing Sending mail/Server Type, IMAP Headers tab is duplicated
From upstream: This does not happen anymore with 2.22, (you get an error
dialog saying Couldn't display #.. It might have been fixed in the
transition from GnomeVFS to GIO during the 2.21 development cycle. Closing
this report as OBSOLETE, please reopen it if you still find this bug with
upstream has commited a fix to 2.22.x and 2.23.x. We should have it on

This is weird indeed. Theoretically 2.12 should sport support for 2G.
I cannot test it myself (I run on x86_64 -- automagic support for large
files --, and Evo 2.22). Upstream confirmed that there *is*, huh, should

Unfortunately, the retracer is disabled for Gutsy -- which means I

I cannot reproduce it on Hardy's Evo -- 2.21.92. The vcard as provided

Indeed, Exchange operations are performed at the Exchange server;
applying filters to Exchange-stored messages means the messages have to
be downloaded, worked on by the filters, and then (if needed) moved to
other Exchange folders;
Probably related to bug 199900.

Evolution-exchange indeed had a series of issues, but most of them have
been corrected on unstable (i.e., on current E-E). I would guess this
bug is related to the next one you opened (bug 199912), and this might

Could you please start Evolution from scratch (i.e., after removing
~/.evolution) from a command line?
Then go through the wizard -- you should have now your problem shown.

I am setting Evolution as incomplete, since we are now running unstable
2.21.92 on Hardy. Can this be reproduced on current evo on Hardy? I
cannot reproduce it, but I do not run compiz.
