I just upgraded from Ubuntu 20.04 to 22.04.1, and this bug now affects me. I first encountered it in Brave Browser, then tested Google Chrome, and neither one will let me enter a filename--instead, it jumps to the filter box, and clears the directory. Renaming files after they're downloaded seems to be the only way to save the files, and is not an acceptable workaround.
