already open, the loading circle in the top panel doesn't dissapear
until some time (~10 sec). As a side effect, the app takes long time to

On my config, the 'Moved/Copied' dialog is not detached from the nautilus
windows, but it remains displayed on all nautilus windows, including those I
open after the copy/move operation is finished.

Now the matroska is supported for me with vobsub and .srt. However, the
vobsub aren't displayed (only sometimes green artifacts on the top) with
matroska in the lucid version. When I user an ISO, vobsub works very
well.

What's very curious about this is you can get some weird behavior.
Open up a movie in totem, then turn your system volume to 0. You'll
still hear sound. But, strangely, that sound will then get quieter
when you lower the totem volume, even though in theory everything
should be muted.

*) I cannot reproduce the bug in GIMP on edgy, everything works as

I am using Kubuntu now and by setting either Master or PCM to zero and
the other to a high value, I still hear sound coming throught PCM.

I can confirm this. Having checked the Enable accessible login
checkbox that bstqc_ostl mentions, then Quit--Switch user, it seems to
prepare to load the usual GDM greeter, but then immediately switches to
the password-protected dialog to return to the session I just quit.

I urge you to reconsider your decision. The user case is clear:
I am listening to music (not to a CD, not to sound from the input line,
it is PCM output). The volume is controlled by the PCM slide. Moving the
slide to 0 does not turn the volume off.

Could you try if it works in KDE ? If it doesn't, then it is not a GNOME
problem but lower in the printing chain.
