Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-nettool
Using Ubuntu 10.04 LTS - the Lucid Lynx in an eeePC 901 updated via an ethernet cable to date. I can connect to WEP access points but I have serious problems connecting to WPA personal access points. I have tried several different access points with no success. At best I can connect occasionally if I cold boot but the connection is dropped after a few minutes. If you retry to connect thereafter there is no success. If you examine the interface during the connection using the network tools you see that the interface has acquired a valid IP address, mask, gateway, etc. (via DCHP). Occasionally a connection is acquired with valid IP addresses, but there is no connectivity, this happens rarely. All access points are OK when accessed using Macs, PCs and smart phones. Network Manager applet 0.8 in use Thanks in advance Marek ** Affects: gnome-nettool (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- WPA problem eeePC 901 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/676204 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-nettool in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
