I don't seem to be able to re-crash this bug. If I am not running the
right program with the backtrace please let me know. It looks like samba
must of been involved somehow. I think I caused the crash by trying to
run the file from the tiny-desktop through samba (smb:) on the beast-
desktop and
o.k. forget this one for now, I don't really know how to re-produce it.

You bet, I'm not sure if it's reproducible, I don't even know exactly
when it happened because of the auto bug reporting being turned off in
Gusty Beta 7.10. It is one of 25 bug I have sitting in the var\crash\

I just got this bug today after a fresh install of Tribe 5 Gusty Gibbon Alt
x86.iso.
I installed the system, and when I tried to login at the xserver(GDM?) menu it
would not log in, it would try and then instead it would return to the login
menu. I booted to a # and applied all availiable
Downloaded, Updated, and Installed fine; but did still give this output.
Setting up firefox (2.0.0.3+1-0ubuntu1) ...

I upgraded by using terminal; apt-get update, then, apt-get dist-upgrade.
It did prompt me: for Y or I to update, or N or whatever I don't remember to
leave alone(do nothing?) or for C or whatever it was to see the differences, or
? to do something else. I don't think I understood it was going

defaults, I could understand this being normal, and a security thing,
but if it changes the ability to log in as root, and my login settings,
which it did, that's no good.

I updated after after restarting my computer by clicking on the update
icon and 13 updates where there 12 where availiable to install. After
install (crash balloon icon) evolution notifier alarm stopped showing
up, but I got an apport(gtk) crash related to python 2.5 and gnome-app-

This bug was fixed for awhile but came back today. I know people wrote
crash file not needed but it's easier to send now instead of later if
someone asks.
