I forgot to mention that while I ran the debug I tried also to rip a CD
which I had already done previously. It asked me whether I wanted to
overwrite the file and so I cliked no. It then gave the error: Could not
load profile mime type". I hope that this does not effect this.

I am using Ubuntu studio 9.10 and Rhythmbox 0.12.5.
Roughly every hour (I have never got the exact time) the song pauses and a red
circle with a line through appears in one of the columns. When I try to play
the song again I get the error:

annoyance to me for as long as I can remember using GTK+ apps on windows
or linux (early windows versions of Pidgin and GIMP). Can we not get

The open menu opens as a dialog and not as a window. In Ion3 this causes
the dialog to be squished up so it becomes unusable and there is
absolutely no way to move it to another frame.

The URL is not important, Rhythmbox hangs all the time regardless of
radio station.
I followed the Backtrace instructions. I listened to music until it
stopped playing and the interface stopped drawing. I then killed the
application.

I have now double and triple checked. D-Bus is running before my
Xsession script calls gnome-screensaver as it's Xsession start-up script
is called before my custom one. I have even tried to call gnome-
screensaver with:
dbus-launch gnome-screensaver
All of this is to no avail. The first instance

You cannot put the hash bang at the top of a sourced file.
I do not think I am alone in having bash specific stuff in these files
which is why there are a few other cases of people complaining
Thinking about it a little more... this is happening becuase I have bash
specific commands in one of my startup files. The gdm package is
sourcing my startup files under sh.
I think therefor that the bug is with the gdm package.

I think I have figured it out...
My /etc/profile was sourcing /etc/bash.bashrc every time.
You must have made a change to /etc/X11/Xsession recently that means
when you source /etc/profile under sh you end up sourcing
/etc/bash.bashrc.

In response to Sebastien Bacher's suggestion of using a Suggests instead
of Depends:
I think the best solution would be to put a Recommends on bug-buddy (an
MTA is not necessary, but it seems pointless to use it without one) and
an Enhances on exim4-whatever. Also, I think an MTA really should be
Exim works as well (even provides a sendmail symlink), and it's in main,
whereas Sendmail is in universe. I think I would prefer bug-buddy to
require one of the exim4-daemon-* packages.

I'm not sure what changed, as I was running an up-to-date dapper before
