So I guess there is something wrong in Evince.

I got your point. I should have thought about that.
But, interestingly, on my machine the 0 key says
gimp-remote %F &
It does not work. And I don't have any idea what is "gimp-remote". Because of
that, I created a hotkey like this
gimp %F &

I create a new shortcut in gThumb. In particular, it is "7 key in
numpad". When I press it, it calls gimp.
The problem is: Gimp opens but gThumb freezes. But, if at the time when
I press the key gimp was already open, then there is no problem.

When you make a file using sudo its permissions are root not you. So you
can trash it but later you cannot empty the trash. First restore the
file, then take the permissions to yourself using "sudo chmod blah blah
blah" then hopefully you can empty the trash.
