I’ve actually seen firefox crash in a 19.10 VM while testing this, but
this didn't produce a crash file in /var/crash. gnome-shell's memory
usage had climbed to 90%, and it was restored to a reasonable

I have gnome-calendar installed on Ubuntu 19.04, and gedit is still
displayed as the only available choice in the default app settings. The
workaround was to run the following: gio mime text/calendar
org.gnome.Calendar.desktop
Now gnome-calendar appears as the default (and only) calendar app...

I have observed that in a fully up-to-date disco VM. gnome-software
would display a loading screen forever. After rebooting the VM, however,
it loaded instantly. Here is the relevant bits from journalctl from
today:

After reverting to the snapshot with which I was initially able to
observe the problem, gnome-software now loads correctly (the loading
screen is displayed for 4-5 seconds and then the home screen with the

Probably not acceptable as is because this would allow executing any
snap, not just chromium. And

I'm getting a similar error when clicking a hyperlink in a PDF document.
An error ribbon appears:
Unable to open external link
Failed to execute child process
