Sorry for delayed response.
Finally I figured out the issue reason.
The subject laptop (Lenovo G15 V3 IAP(82tt)) has i7-1255U.
For some weird reason HDMI output cannot render @ 3440x1440, but goes
well with 4K.
I've attached laptop's USB-C output to monitor's DP input using
USB-C->DP cable

I had experienced the same issue with system monitor until today. But now GSM
closes quite well again. The only change that I can remember is that I've
deleted "System monitor applet" from the bottom panel. I tried add the applet
back to panel but GSM keeps quiting OK by any mean
