Quite same problem on my HP Pavillion DV3550ev. The problem comes with ubuntu 9.10 and not with 9.04. If i disconnect the power cable from the computer the battery icon works good, but if i restart the computer or i switch on without the power cable the icon give to me:"the battery is fully charg
