I am getting the same problem. I do not use any flash based storage. I
have installed the hardy release the live cd boots up fine, i install,
restart log in then I'm confronted with the same problem of the original
bug post.
I did a clean install with a burned ISO of final release of hardy, not

It seems to me, some people using eee pc's, adaptec raid cards models 2410sa
and 2610sa, usb drives.
IDE drives seem unaffected, thanks doobydave.

i have been logging in fine, however now i look at dmesg and i see
gnome-keyring-d segfault...
no graphical login is possible, however i can login via Ctrl+Alt+F1

Hi, i have the same problem
please take a look at the screen shot i have taken, the lettering has
been replaced by strange symbols, and as other people my cpu usage goes
to 100%, another note the graphs seems distorted.

post-installation
i am having the same problem with Hardy Alpha 2. fresh install with no
specialised partitioning at all. the deleted items applet looks empty,
however /home/james/.Trash is non-empty.
