I'm not actually certain it was a modal window, but I think so. What
happened was I turned on my computer and walked away to do dishes. Then,
when I cam back, the screen was not locked, but the gnome-keyring
password request window was
I agree, this is also inconsistent with other utilities eg. network
manager etc. and should be changed.
