Behaves the same with the same error message for me on Wayland. Removing
".config/totem" doesn't seem to make any difference. But switching back
to Xorg does solve it for me.

Unfortunately I have to confirm the bug still persists with the final
Ubuntu 14.10. Very frustrating if you are used to access ftp through
Nautilus which I do a lot.

While using FTP through Nautilus to modify files on a remote location
using Gedit, FTP crashed causing the file being modified to lose all its
content - with no backup. That happened to me several times, this time
Apport finally recognized an error.

Same here, with Asus Zenbook UX32VD. Ubuntu on the other hand works
well, the problem only appears to be affecting Xubuntu and possibly
other Ubuntu derivates.
