I've seen this problem as well. The descender portion of character in
song album or title is cut off.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. However, I am closing it because the bug has been fixed
in the latest development version of Ubuntu - Raring Ringtail. It is
also fixed in Quantal. I found that the fix was introduced in a version
rhythmbox
