try this: open terminal and type code: sudo nano /etc/kboot.conf
without quote marks, this will open kboot.conf file for editing. then
look for this line or one similar: linux=/boot/vmlinux
initrd=/boot/initrd.img in the following space between the g and root
type: video=ps3fb:mode:0 to change

ohh and yeah this is agains yelp specifically as thats the version on running
on my ps3.
another thing im starting to wander is that maybe its not acknowleging my ps3's
graphics card called RSX

Are you filing this against yelp specifically? Or is it just that you
can't change screen resolution? What program are you using to change
your resolution? Please provide more details as to exactly what you are
doing, what the software does, and what you expect it to do.
