I already fixed the problem by switching to gs-gpl:
sudo apt-get install gs-gpl
sudo update-alternatives --config gs (-choosing gs-gpl)

file doesn't create an issue on gutsy so the bug might be already fixed.
It's likely gs-esp eating ressources on it
