I was using Publish to Picasa for long time but it has stopped working
now. When I click Publish I get popup with disabled select box with
Picasa option already selected and then there is only Cancel

I am using Ubuntu 14.04 and this happened also to me both on Gnome and Unitiy
desktops.
BUT after I established my Google account in System Settings - Online
Accounts this worked perfectly for me, i.e.

Sebastien, I believe both of these reports are the same as the Unity
control center problem. I'm marking this ticket as a duplicate; if I'm
missing something, please let me know.

I am using Ubuntu 14.04, Shotwell 0.18.0-0ubuntu4 and this problem still
occures. I tried to backtrace the problem but I am not sure if this
helps since Shotwell actually does not crash or freeze. Only publishing
window vanishes. Also if we start Shotwell via terminal and try add
another account
