This just happened to me yesterday. A pain to see all my custom panel
icons disappear in front of my eyes!
I hoped it was a temporary issue so I restarted but no everything still
gone... And with the restart no trace of the .xsession-errors neither.

been overwritten since this problem last occurred. It's happened twice for
