This could be the same problem I found in bug #132349 (and see also bug #131107). Deleting /usr/share/hal/fdi/policy/gparted-disable- automount.fdi and rebooting fixed it for me. So it might be a problem related to gparted and not gnome-volume-manager. -- Removable devices are not being

i have the same issues, but adding mount applet to the gnome-panel doesn't help. The USB devices are recognised by hal, but aren't automounted, if i mount it maualy with pmount-hal /dev/device or partition it mounts as it should. I should state that the same devices worked in feisty. I'm using
