Just a workaround here - I am also affected by this bug, but the

Desktop Bugs,
I'm using Ubuntu Gnome 14.04 on a laptop, and until recently I didn't have
speed etc. for mouse or trackpad in settings.
I've just checked, and now I have trackpad speed, but still no mouse speed.
I use a Logitech M515 (wireless), which remains irritatingly slow, and
is unaffected by the

@mathieu-tl, I just sync'd the utopic ISO in TestDrive and ran it in
VirtualBox... I confirm that the mouse pointer speed slider control
exists and functions as seen in the attached screenshot.

This bug seems to have been corrected in the development release. Here,
I can definitely see a pointer speed option. Could anyone please verify
using a liveCD, to make sure this has been properly fixed?
Thanks.

For Unity Authors Simplicity is not removing things is to make things
easier...
I've found the settings in dconf and am still tweaking them to my
liking. This is kind of ridiculous that something as basic as slider to
adjust acceleration is no longer there. I mean come on, didn't gnome 1

Also, for people who used the dconf-editor workaround, don't go into
mouse settings again because that will clobber your preferences.
This is an extremely newbie hostile bug. The fact that it's been around
for at least a year makes me worry about the future of Unity.

I need the pointer speed and pointer acceleration settings too.
