Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-panel
With up to date Gutsy, tracker is installed by default. Yet the "Search for Files.." entry on the places menu still launches gnome-search-tool. When you install Beagle, beagle-search takes over that menu-entry in the places menu. See also, the bug about that: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-panel/+bug/38986 This wishlist-bug was fixed, and I think, considering the choice to install tracker by default, it is even more important that this behavior is duplicated for tracker. ** Affects: gnome-panel (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- "search for files.." entry in gnome-menu should launch tracker-search-tool https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/131964 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug contact for gnome-panel in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
