Public bug reported: How to reproduce:
Import pictures from ext hd: 1) Launch Shotwell 2) Import from folder (without copying), point to a folder located on an ext4-formatted external USB hard drive. 3) Import completes successfully. 4) Close shotwell. (Shutdown and power on laptop). 1) connect the usb hard drive; the folder where the pictures where imported from is accessible through Nautilus 2) Launch Shotwell from command line: the thumbnails show up without issues. 3) Double click on a thumbnail: as soon as the image is shown in low-res, filling the entire right-hand area of the application, Shotwell crashes with the following output: ERROR:/build/buildd/shotwell-0.12.3/src/core/SourceHoldingTank.vala:167:source_holding_tank_internal_notify_altered: assertion failed: (_tmp2_) ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 12.04 Package: shotwell 0.12.3-0ubuntu0.1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.2.0-64.97-generic 3.2.59 Uname: Linux 3.2.0-64-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: fglrx ApportVersion: 2.0.1-0ubuntu17.6 Architecture: amd64 Date: Wed Jun 11 23:00:50 2014 InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 11.10 "Oneiric Ocelot" - Release amd64 (20111012) MarkForUpload: True ProcEnviron: TERM=xterm PATH=(custom, no user) LANG=it_IT.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: shotwell UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to precise on 2012-08-28 (652 days ago) ** Affects: shotwell (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug precise running-unity third-party-packages -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to shotwell in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1329070 Title: Shotwell crashes when viewing photos imported from ext usb hard drive (connected) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/shotwell/+bug/1329070/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
