* The freeze only occurs when I drag across the 'Places' side pane (the
one toggled by pressing F9). If I instead drag into the main area then
no freeze occurs.

I am seeing this in a fresh install of Lubuntu 17.04 64-bit, also when
trying to unpack Tor browser 7.0.5 (
https://www.torproject.org/dist/torbrowser/7.0.5/tor-browser-linux64-7.0
.5_en-US.tar.xz ). I'm confirming the following characteristics
mentioned about this bug:
* Freeze triggers when
Status changed to 'Confirmed' because the bug affects multiple users.
