Looks like this was fixed upstream as 554962 rather than 468075.

A workaround for me was to use gconf-editor to set
/apps/metacity/general/action_double_click_titlebar (and
fixed upstream now, thanks for reporting.

the bug is low priority and it doesn't fit the requirements of an SRU
(https://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates) probably if there's
another bug that do fit the requirements this could be also included in
that update, otherwise you might want to wait until intrepid, thanks in
