I couldn't reproduce this bug, i'm using gutsy here with all packages up
to date.

did you by any chance have the Desktop effects activated?, if so, when you
disable it as
I don't have desktop-effects since I removed it to install compiz
fusion. I tried reverting back to metacity and sure enough it wasn't
taking pictures. Compiz must be the culpret. In fact it was, all I had
to do was go in to ccsm General Commands Disable Screenshot key
bindings. And now it isnt
