Looks like a corrupted installation and not a package bug and that's
fixed now, closing, feel free to reopen if you get the issue again
though

I had the same issue.
I did a 'sudo aptitude --purge reinstall' for all installed gstreamer*
packages. That fixed it.
Dunno which of the packages is the responsible one.
