In Ubuntu 15.10, using Nautilus 3.14.2, following the above steps the invisible folder is created, however, it also creates an Untitled folder as well. To prove that the invisible folder is being created: - make a new folder that starts with a period (.testfolder) - go into terminal, and do ls
