I was also able to reproduce this bug again with Hardy final release, I
really don't know why it worked in latest alpha and why now it still
does not work.

The app in question is gdmsetup and it's been a bug since Feisty at
least. I'm still experiencing it on 8.04 Desktop AMD64 on a clean
install with all available updates except the proposed repo. The
description matches that given in the initial post by seanh. Whether or
not the Human theme has been
