Public bug reported: When I install 7.10, most gnome menu items are localised. Translations reside in .desktop files in /usr/share/applications.
"Applications, Places, System" main menu items in the gnome panel on the other hand are not localised. Translations for these seem to reside in the respective language packs. They are the most visible menu items on the desktop. Having the translations included would offer _a lot_ of extra comfort to new users who have no connection to the internet when first installing. ** Affects: gnome-panel (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- "applications, places, system" not translated https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/159553 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug contact for gnome-panel in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
