Thx Arnaud, There are not too many log files to be found thre : hs_err_pid10416.log hs_err_pid11835.log hs_err_pid7827.log hs_err_pid9285.log + nautilus-debug-log.txt Yet all those files were last modified a week or more before the issue arose. Actually I had one file in red font: alsa-driver-1

In a shell, try to make an "ls /home//" I had an equivalent problem when a bloody software created all its logs (and a lot of logs) in the directory: thousands log files were is the directory and nautilus was not able to open it. -- Nautilus fails to access /home/Personal File https://bugs.laun
