Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evolution
I'd describe it as follows -- occasionally, perhaps once or twice a day while using evolution's calendar, either double clicking on a calendar event or deleting it (sometimes moving it) evolution will hang. It doesn't crash, however, it just freezes. I'll be happy to get a trace (as I said, it happens frequently) but I'm not sure how to do that when it's a freeze and not a crash. The problem used to occur _constantly_, perhaps once every 15 minutes of active evolution calendar use. After I did a complete reinstall (wiped .evolution, gconf) and manually imported everything back, it has happened less frequently, but it still happens. I have multiple calendars and lots of appointments. As you can imagine this is a serious annoyance for a heavy evolution user and detracts considerably from the attractiveness of ubuntu.. System: gutsy, amd64 This is a little similar to #51005, perhaps it's a an AMD64 problem. ** Affects: evolution (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- evolution occasionally but reliably hangs when opening calendar event or deleting calendar event https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/163134 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug contact for evolution in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
